A group of pupils from Maplewell school in Woodhouse Eaves, Loughborough, painted this amazing Mural in July. The school caters for children with moderate learning difficulties. I had the great pleasure of working with eight delightful children on this project, who worked very well together. They communicated well and helped each other. They listened and showed a willingness to try something new. Murals can be a way to document history and I think that the pupils did this brilliantly. They were a pleasure to work with and they should be very proud of their work.
The Mural is now on display in an exhibition at Loughborough Museum, along side 3D work produced by other children from the school. It will be on show for the next two weeks.
