Bright red mirror with butterflies

My daughter chose some pretty wrapping paper which I cut out the butterflies and added them to the frame. I will find a chair or a blanket box next and paint it to match this mirror.

Bright red mirror

This mirror will certainly add a pop of colour to our new house that we are moving to on 24th of March.....less than 3 weeks away. I may even add a few butterflies to this mirror, requested by my daughter, Hollie. I will have a look at some wrapping paper today to see if I can find some butterfly images; simple, bold and modern is what I want.

Bold flower mirror

Spring is here and we have a friend's birthday tomorrow. It is my daughter's friend who will be 11 years old and so I decided that something flowery and bold would be perfect.
I recently bought a few of these Ikea mirrors from a charity shop, and today I painted one of them a pale green. I then cut out some flowers from good quality wrapping paper which I purchased from County Crafts in Melton. Next, I glued them on and finished it with several layers of matt varnish. It is modern, colourful and perfect for a girls room.

Graffiti inspired

I have been itching to create something more funky and I wanted to add an urban feel to my art. I like Graffiti style art and admire many Graffiti artists for their spraying technique, striking colours, their skill to combine a vast array of colours, and of course their passion.

I've used a combination of fine brush painting, spray paint and stenciling.

Write on me please.

This rustic wooden tray is painted with red and green with an apple stencil design. The blackboard paint allows you to write any messages in chalk and it could also be used as a menu board.

This pale blue wooden tray adds a bit of fun, because you can write little messages to your loved ones. It has an aged look to it with an apple stencil design. Vita Bella, is an Italian saying meaning "Life is Beautiful".

bedside tables

These shapely bedside tables are painted in pink and blue with strokes of white running through the colours. I painted them to go in my daughter's bedroom......and now I have got to paint her wooden bed to match.
I will be buying in more of these tables and will be trying out more colours and techniques on them.
